MISSION STATEMENT: Powerstories is a nonprofit professional theatre whose mission is to stage true stories to open minds and hearts
and inspire action worldwide.

The difficult decision to cancel Jane: Abortion and the Underground due to the hurricanes weighed heavily on our hearts. It highlighted just how vital community support is for the survival and growth of our theatre. We were eager to debut our Powerstories’ PowerUp (popup theatre) and share this significant piece, but we recognized our community’s and our challenges in the wake of Helene and Milton.

We are thrilled to bring Jane back on January 6 at HCC Mainstage Ybor. We will also be hosting a Zoom with three of the original Janes.

This Giving Tuesday, your support is crucial for Powerstories’ 25th season in 2025. As we mark a quarter-century of sharing inspiring plays, your generosity can help make our silver anniversary truly remarkable.

Your contributions will help us to continue presenting impactful true stories that open minds and hearts, support talented artists, and provide them with opportunities to shine on stage.

Be part of something extraordinary as we embark on our 25th season of storytelling magic! We aim to raise $25K in ’25, and every donation—no matter the size—brings us closer to realizing this dream.

If you cannot afford a financial donation, there are other impactful ways to support us. Put our flyers up in coffee shops, promote our shows to friends and family, volunteer to work front of house, or use social media to share our posts. Every bit of support helps and is deeply appreciated.

Together, let’s make 2025—themed HIDDEN HERSTORIES—an unforgettable season filled with inspiring performances of incredible true stories.
