HERSTORY LESSON: MARSHA P. JOHNSON

A Black transgender woman and drag performer, Marsha P. Johnson was a central figure in the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, helping ignite the modern LGBTQ rights movement. She dedicated her life to supporting unhoused queer and trans youth and advocating for dignity and safety. Her legacy is widely recognized as a symbol of resilience and liberation.
